The reason women choose to veil varies for each community and each woman and can be in response to personal, geographical, social, and political events.

In this workshop, Dr. Pilat explores the spiritual, physical, and archetypal meanings of veiling as experienced by women around the world. Using contemplative and action-oriented practice, participants examine various aspects of veiling from biblical, literary, and historic references while reflecting on how these aspects manifest in their daily life and spiritual journey. Participants then engage in an artistic activity that allows them to express themselves based on their reflections.
