Life at the Lake
What’s it like to live at the lake?
That’s the question that I’m often asked. What’s it like to live at the lake where the sea and sky and earth meet? Where beauty and its underbelly reside along the rock wall where wildflowers and wild birds live and sandbags make a white line along the grasses. Squirrels show up along with fowl and fish.

Morning has broken, Black bird has spoken
Morning sunrise at the Lake brings to mind the opening words of the song “Morning has broken”. Each day so different, each view new. By the time I write this the view has changed. Looking up: Heron, Mallard, three swans and a line of geese appear as if on Q for my edification. Words fail so often to describe the beauty of creation that all I can do is silently sing words that come to mind.
