Creative Workshops

Workshops in the Art of Contemplative Play offer an invitation to slow down, connect with creativity, and discover new ways of seeing yourself and others. Through simple practices that blend mindfulness, movement, and imagination, participants explore the freedom of play as a path to reflection, renewal, and connection. These workshops create welcoming spaces where people of all backgrounds can step away from routine, tap into curiosity, and leave with fresh energy and insight.

Dimensions

Throughout history, the veil, as an item of clothing, has been dramatically overburdened with competing symbolism. It is a garment whose meaning cannot be contained.

The Pilgrimage Home

People embark on pilgrimages for a variety of spiritual, religious, and personal reasons, whether it’s to deepen their faith, connect with sacred places, or find meaning and purpose in their lives. The pilgrimage of life is to come forth from our source to find the “Source” and, as T.S. Eliot wrote, “to know the place for the first time.”

The Play of color

Playing with words, images, and metaphors has been a central theme of Dr. Pilat’s life. Through various art forms—photography, coloring, manipulating clay, role-playing—she has harnessed the power of play and color while working with women, children, and families on social justice and trauma prevention.
