This collection captures my journey into post-conflict Afghanistan, where I traveled with two companions across the closed Amu Darya River border into Mazar-e-Sharif and surrounding villages. With United Nations credentials and cautious determination, we navigated guarded checkpoints and entered a region still reeling from war. The photographs reflect my encounters with everyday life in the city and rural communities, offering a deeply personal and respectful lens on the resilience and faith of the Afghan people.
